Compared to Haglöfs other shell jackets, such as Eco Proof and L.I.M Proof Jacket, Grym Evo is a much tougher jacket. It is designed for Scandinavian conditions, with all the features you need for long tours in the wilderness.
- It should withstand tough conditions, primarily in our Scandinavian nature, which may be a little tougher on the clothes. It's meant to be worn when you hike the King's Trail up in Sarek, for example," says designer Robert Olsson.
The fabric is made from 100 percent recycled polyamide while the DWR treatment, which protects against water and dirt, is fluorocarbon-free. Instead of stitched seams, the jacket has seams welded together with ultrasound, called Ultrasonic.
- This results in flatter seams, which makes for a much smoother product. It also has a Recco reflector in the hood. If you're out in the wilderness and you get injured, this technology allows you to be found if they search the area from a helicopter. This is something that has previously been used off-piste, but now the company has developed its product for other uses as well.
