Behind the design of the new adidas UltraBoost 21 running shoe

With spring time running finally here, let’s take a look at the adidas UltraBoost 21. adidas continues to develop the UltraBoost shoe, and the focus with this year's design is to balance weight, cushioning and responsiveness to maximize energy return

adidas has designed the UltraBoost 21 shoe to give back as much of your energy as possible. To maximize energy return, the shoe is built with a midsole drop of 10 mm (heel 30.5 mm / forefoot 20.5 mm), a supportive heel counter and the special Boost midsole. Also, the shoe weighs only 340 grams and has a sock-like fit. If you try them, let other runners know how they make you bounce!

The Ultraboost21 shoe is made partly from recycled material. Primeblue is a high-performance material made from 92% recycled polyester from Parley Ocean Plastic. 50% of the upper of the shoe is textile, 75% of the textile is Primeblue yarn.

6% more Boost capsules for more energy returns compared to the UltraBoost20 model.

Their new Torsion System provides a 15% increase in forefoot bending stiffness for a 7% more responsive run compared to last year's model.
