Why the new heart rate watch Suunto 7 is the obvious choice!
It can be difficult to combine exercise with a hectic schedule, but now Suunto 7 is a smart heart rate monitor that is completely unique. Here's everything you need to know about your new best friend.
Many people struggle with the so-called life puzzle. That is, getting everyday life to go together with work, school, children, meetings - and of course, training. Suunto saw this problem and created Suunto 7, a smart watch and a heart rate monitor in one that helps you through all the daily tasks. Suunto the 7 is equipped with the WearOS by Google operating system, which gives you all the features you need to get through your daily routine.
- Suunto 7 is for the active person who has a lot to do. It combines all the features you need for both fitness and everyday life. A smartwatch and heart rate monitor in one stylish package," explains Matias Anthoni, product expert at Suunto.
With Suunto 7 you have 70 different sports modes with GPS and heart rate monitoring. Plus, there are free maps to download or use directly during your workout. Suunto the7's heatmaps help you find the routes that other Suunto users have trained on the most.
Tell us about the heatmaps, what are they?
- All the data is collected in Suunto's system and put into the maps, so the more people who have run a certain distance, the brighter that particular distance shines on the map. This is a great feature if you're coming to a new place and wondering "Where is the best route to run here?". Then you just take out your watch and check where people run the most. The maps are free and you can see in real time exactly how people have run or cycled where you are. You can also download maps in advance and use them in offline mode.
What can I do with my watch with WearOS?
- It opens a lot of doors. The Google Assistant feature on your watch shows you the weather, your calendar, and sends you reminders for everything you need. You can also go directly to Google Play on the watch and download apps. Of course, the watch works with both Apple and Android phones. If you previously used apps like Strava or Endomondo, you can continue to use them through the connection with the Suunto app. When the watch is connected to Wi-Fi,ras automatically updates the software.
The Google Pay payment system is currently available in ten countries and it is hoped that it will soon come to Sweden. Then you can pay directly with your watch and don't even need to carry your bank card when you're out and about.
Suunto the7 has 70 different sports modes and is the perfect mix of a classic heart rate watch and a smartwatch, thanks to WearOS by Google.
How durable is the heart rate watch?
- It is waterproof down to a depth of 50 meters and very shock-resistant. The glass is gorilla glass, a much more durable glass that doesn't break easily. It is very robust, compared to other watches that do not have buttons but only a touch screen, it is less fragile. Suunto the 7 has a few buttons so you can use it even when wearing gloves.
What is the battery life of the Suunto 7?
- That depends on how much you use it, of course, but we say the battery lasts for two days under normal use. The GPS tracking lasts for 12 hours. And it goes from empty to full in just 100 minutes," says Matias Anthoni and concludes:
- We are very proud of Suunto 7! If you've used Suunto before, you'll feel confident that it's the same look and feel you know and love.
