Top 3 hottest fitness trends right now
There are always a few trends that stand out every season. And it's fun to follow fashion, even in the gym! Fashion journalist and stylist Annika Norman knows how to dress to become the gym's fashion lion.
Working out in stylish clothes is fun - and it's nothing new that many people feel more motivated when they sweat in new or extra stylish workout clothes they feel comfortable in. Just like in the fashion world in general, there are trends in workout clothes, and of course they change from year to year. We had a chat with fashion journalist and stylist Annika Norman, who has a nose for trends. #1: Matching workout sets
One of the strongest trends this season is matching workout sets. This simply means that, for example, a sports bra and tights - or any top and bottom - are a set together, and match. There are of course many different variations of this trend, so it's all about choosing the matching set that suits you.Reebok, for example, offers watercolor camouflage in pink - but also block-colored pieces in green, blue and yellow.
- Matching sets are a super big trend in fashion right now and of course this is reflected when it comes to workout clothes. Sporty garments and accessories have long been very hot even outside the gym. What used to be a purely training garment is now a stylish everyday garment. Just look at how the sneaker trend has completely exploded," says Annika Norman.
How do I style my matching workout set with other clothes?
- Mix your matching sets with pretty much anything in your wardrobe, depending on the garment. A pair of patterned tights can look great with a hoodie or t-shirt with a leather jacket and chunky boots. Incorporating sporty attributes into your everyday look is never wrong, whether you're going to work out or not.
Matching sets are a trend that is both super hot right now, but will also last for a very long time. Here is this season's news from Casall.
#2. Neon
Already in springras came the sneaky, neon trend. With a wink to the colorful 80s and 90s, neon-colored clothes and details have gained an obvious place in every fashion-conscious person's training wardrobe.Puma and Nike are two of many brands that stand out with extra cool neon garments this fall.
- We are becoming more and more daring when it comes to clothing and daring to stand out - neon is a great choice as it really draws the eye. Go for full neon pieces or go for a light version and add neon details to your look, says Annika Norman.

- If you are wearing simple basics, why not add your neon colored gym bag or a pair of neon colored sneakers? It will elevate your outfit and undoubtedly give it that extra edge.
Light up the gym with cool neon pieces, Puma has a few seasonal favorites in coral and raspberry red!
#3 Seamless
Who likes hard seams that chafe? No one, is the answer of course! Seamless garments that flatter the figure and are really comfortable to work out in are really hot this fall. Casall, Adidas and Filippa K are some of the brands at the forefront of the trend.
- Seamless, or seamless, is super comfortable to wear. This is of course essential when you're exercising. Underwear without seams has long been popular precisely because the underwear is not visible through the garments and because they are comfortable to wear.
The seamless trend is strong right now, as comfortable as it is timely.
How do I style my seamless workout clothes?
- Of course, you can match these pieces with anything from your regular wardrobe. For example, a puffer jacket is great with tights and sneakers.
Annika Norman is a fashion journalist and stylist, and believes that trends in the fitness world are entering the "regular" fashion world more and more.
