3 great spas - with gym
You deserve a break - go to a spa! To avoid getting restless, book a spa hotel that also has a good gym. We'll guide you there.
Kosta boda art hotel, Småland
Kosta boda art hotel has four different pools for you to relax in. But that's not all! You can also participate in aquamix, the hotel's water gym. If water activities aren't for you, don't despair, the gym also offers other group training, such as core training, interval training, pilates yoga and zumba. Both the gym and training sessions are free for residents, so take the chance!
Plus: The design suggests that you are in the middle of the Kingdom of Glass.
Minus: No whirlpool.
Åkerblads, Dalarna
At Åkerblads you eat and sleep well. The family hotel is rustic and breathes history, but the gym is newly built. It's not very big, but it has everything you could wish for, and during Sportamore magazine's stay it was empty. If you're the kind of person who only uses cardio machines, you'll like it too, all the cross-trainers are placed in front of panoramic windows. The spa itself is not very big and feels a bit too much like a bathhouse, although there are two large whirlpools. If you want a fancier spa stay, we recommend renting the spa suite, where you get your own whirlpool and sauna overlooking Lake Siljan
Plus: The hotel is located in the village of Tällberg, which may be Sweden's most picturesque place.
Minus: Doesn't feel very luxurious.
Upper house, Gothenburg
Looking for something special? Located on floors 18-25 of Gothia Towers, Upper House is a five-star hotel that offers three floors of spa and relaxation facilities. There's everything from hammam to jet-stream pool, soft pool and jungle shower. As if that wasn't enough, there's a glass-bottomed champagne pool on the 19th floor. On the same floor is the gym. Here you can work out with views for miles.
Plus: The gym is open from 05.00-23.00.
Minus: If you like it, it costs.
