Winter season means ski season for many. Need inspiration for this year's ski trip? Anders Gustavsson, athelete manager at Peak Performance, suggests five ski resorts around the world that will give you skiing experiences that you will remember for a lifetime.

1. Whitewater, Nelson, Canada

peak
Whitewateroffers incredible skiing.

- It's a great little resort with only three old chairlifts, but with a great atmosphere and even better skiing. A big plus is also the food on the slopes. The people who run the restaurant have published several cookbooks and theirras cooking is well known in skiing circles," says Anders Gustavsson.

2. Chamonix, France

- A visit to Chamonix is a must for any skier. This legendary ski town has it all. The skiing, food and after skin are all world class. However, you need to have sharp elbows on the lift if it has snowed. Chamonix is home to many hungry powder chasers.

Chamonix is not only cozy, it is also Europe's central point for skiing .

3. Champoluc, Italy

- Nice little gem in the Aosta Valley on the Italian side of the Monterosa massif. No need to crowd here and the skiing is really good. And as usual in Italy, the food and wine are fantastic," says Anders Gustavsson.

4. Serre Chavalier, France

- Located far south in the French Alps, it is often sunny on the mountain and warm down in the villages. Serre Chavalier is known for its fantastic forest skiing. Sparse larch trees make for perfect conditions when the snow comes. It's said that Serre Chavalier has 300 days of sunshine and 65 days of snowfall. Kan be a myth, but it's still good.

5. Riksgränsen, Sweden

- The Riksgränsen at the end of the season is something out of the ordinary. Long days make it possible to ski until midnight and the views are miles wide. The terrain on these classic mountains is very playful and has nurtured several generations of Swedish freeriders. If you have time, it's also well worth heading over to Norway for a tour against the backdrop of the sea and fjords.
