In spring 2017, Reebok made a new investment in running shoes with a focus on Floatride Run, which Lovisa "Lofsan" Sandström, among others, runs in. Recommended price 1 495 SEK.
The midsole in Reebok's Floatride shoes does not consist of regular EVA foam as many other running shoes do. Instead, Reebok has developed its own Floatride foam, which gives both cushioning and power back in every step - everything a runner strives for.
- First of all, our Floatride foam is very light, but it also gives the shoe superior energy return. By combining these features in one running shoe, we can offer runners who value high cushioning what they want.
Two of Reebok's models that Joonas Harjamäki wants to highlight are the Floatride Run and the Floatride Run Fast. The former has an eight-millimeter drop from heel to toe and ensures that you are always ready for the next step. Combined with the soft cushioning, you get an experience of running on clouds, which you directly compare to Adidas Ultra Boost and Nike Odyssey React.
If you are an experienced runner who likes to run on asphalt, the new Floatride Run Fast, with the same Floatride cushioning, is the model for you. It's fast, neutral and can handle even the longest runs, like marathons. It has a ten millimeter drop, but is still super lightweight and perfect as a racing or interval shoe.
