Biomechanical measurements, such as cadence, step length, ground contact time and balance, vertical movement and quota vertical movement / step length are key to understanding the shape so that you can do your best on race day. These measurement values are available with the addition of a compatible heart rate belt or the compact running dynamics pad, which you attach to the waistband. You can also take advantage of features that are helpful in cycling and even swimming training.

How effective is your current training program? Forerunner 645 helps you monitor your training and recovery so you can prepare for a race or training schedule. Exercise Status is a new performance registration tool that automatically evaluates your recent training history and performance indicators so you can find out if you are training productively, have reached your peak form or are training excessively. The new anaerobic training effect opens a knowledge window towards an important training dimension that talks about how the training improves your ability to stretch the boundaries. You can also see your total exercise load, which measures the exercise volume from the last seven days and compares it with the optimal interval for your fitness and recent training history.
