3 national parks you must experience
Visit a national park if you are looking for a memorable nature experience. Here are three beautiful parks in Europe that will take your breath away.
1. Plitvice Lakes National Park
Croatia is a popular holiday destination for sunbathers and swimmers. But there is also a special national park that is well worth a visit. The Korana River has formed some 20 lakes in a limestone-rich area and the result is paradise. You can explore the lakes, whose waters are various shades of green and blue, via footbridges. Even if you want to jump in the pool or swim under one of the waterfalls, you must stay on land, as swimming is prohibited to preserve the delicate ecosystem. But watching and enjoying nature is more than allowed.

2. Vatnajökull National Park
Despite being a relatively small island, Iceland has no less than three national parks. And Vatnajökull National Park is one of them. The largest glacier in Europe is between 400 and 600 meters thick, with a maximum thickness of 950 meters. During the summer, from mid-June to mid-August, the guard stations in the national park organize hikes around the area, and if you're lucky, you can explore ice caves. An adventure for ice-cold explorers.
